Gradus' Wall Strips protects the corridors of Skåne University Hospital
The walls of a corridor in a hospital are exposed to a number of different impact damages. With heavy and hurried traffic, for example with wheeled hospital beds, the risk of creating dents in the interior is even higher. With wall protection from Gradus, accidents can be prevented.
As the third largest hospital in Sweden, Skåne University Hospital offers a full range of highly specialised care, research and education. Skåne University Hospital has units in both Malmö and Lund, with a total of 12,000 employees. The staff consists of over 100 different professions and occupations at work.
The facilities provide highly specialised care, and are national specialised medical care centres within four areas. The research at Skåne University Hospital is closely tied to point-of-care treatment and done in collaboration with Lund University.
Protecting the walls
For the Skåne University Hospital in Lund, we were consulted to make some improvements to their hallways. We found that a perfect addition for the hospital would be our WST150 Wall Strip - a cost effective solution for protecting walls against scuffs, scratches and abrasion caused by chairs, tables, trolleys and other moveable objects that are common in a hospital environment.
The WST150 is 150mm high and comes in a variety of 32 colour options. It can be supplied with tape for quick and easy installation or without tape for installing with a suitable adhesive. It is manufactured from scratch and stain resistant PVC-u and is through-coloured and textured to conceal the effects of impact and abrasion. For versitile area of use, Gradus' Wall Strips can be applied for the entire length of walls, or be cut down into kickplates or pushplates.
Longer lasting and safer passing
The Skåne University Hospital is now able to carry on their important duties in the knowledge that their walls will last longer, and create safer passing in their corridors.
